Thank you to everyone for making this the best birthday yet. I loved every minute of it and feel so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. My birthday was celebrated basically all weekend long. Let the good times roll! It was a fun yet exhausting weekend.
Here is the rundown of what happened:
Miranda Lambert Concert- Best concert I have been to. Even topped Boyz II Men. That is saying a lot my friends. A lot. I went with my roommates. Such sassy/funny girls. Always guaranteed uncontrollable laughter and randomness. I have had the funnest time living with them. We are all so different and unique but I love every moment and adventure that we go through in life individually and collectively. My favorite moments of the concert were: 1. When Miranda started her concert out with a song from one of my favorite female R&B singers: Beyonce. 2. When my roommate Erica twittered Jerrod Niemann (opening act) and got a response back that he loved us too. Side note: I always tease her about stuff like twitter and reality TV that she is into but I have to say, that was super awesome. 3. Miranda Lambert Rocks. She is one kick a** woman. I mean fire going off behind you while you are singing? Seriously an awesome performer. Love her more than before. Worth every penny. 4. Utah's finest rednecks come out. Seriously funny. Beer was flowing like water.
Rex Lee Run- Ran in honor of my best friends mom, Sharon Maguet. Such a tender moment. Really neat to see how many people came out to support and also do it with some of our closest friends.
Dinner- My best bud, Kaitlyn, took me out for dinner. We had a little bff date night. I feel like we were meant to be friends from the beginning. We LOVE sports bars so we went to Iggy's. We just sat and talked forever. And I got my favorite drink called a Lava Flow. It's a pina colada with strawberries. Delicious.
Church- People kept teasing me about my birthday in Sunday school and I started confusing people telling them that it really wasn't. The cutest girl in our ward, Cesilie, said the closing prayer and blessed me on my birthday. It was so cute. Everyone started laughing cause they thought it was not my birthday. But surprise it was.
Dinner- Had some of my friends (Kaitlyn, Erica, Brittany, Kellie B, Helen, Tuni, Chant'al, Ryan, Andrew, Alex, Tyler, Clark, Bobby, JD, & Matt) over for Dinner and had my favorite meal. Steak Fajitas and brownies/oreo ice cream. Scrum-diddly-umptious. I've never laughed so hard. My friends are hilarious. You could seriously come over, not say a word, and be thoroughly entertained. We might have had a mini glass explosion but everyone was okay. I mean we had 5 nurses in the house. Love my friends to death.
B-day Cake- Had friends over for birthday cake. So fun to see all my EFY buddies again and other friends. I am so blessed to be around so many great people who impact my life in more ways than they know. My amazing friend, Angela, bought us tickets to go see Kina Grannis in concert. So excited!!!
Skype with the family- Could not imagine life without those crazy Prusse family members. Best family there is.
Such an amazing weekend. Could not have asked for a better birthday. And guess what? Chris Young is coming back to SLC in June. Let the fun times roll on!!!
